Intro to Belly Dance — Rosa Noreen
Mondays 6:00 PM (1 hr, 15 min) — Starts September 23, 2024
$191 / 9-week session, Save $20 till 9/14

Delve into movement, rhythms and cultural context in this warm and support class for total beginners. There are no pre-requisites. You don't need to have a certain body type. You don't need to be flexible. You don't need to have rhythm. You just need to be ready to have fun and learn something new! Adults of all genders, all body types, and all stages of life are welcomed and affirmed.

NOTE: Masks are required in Rosa's classes. It's the most fun you'll have in a mask! Online option is also available.


Floor Barre — Rosa Noreen
Mondays 6:00 PM (1 hr, 15 min) — Starts September 23, 2024
$191 / 9-week session, Save $20 till 9/14

Floor Barre uses ballet movements — done seated and lying down. These horizontal movements focus on your core and upper back muscles, using gravity in a whole new way. Benefits include improving your core strength, hip mobility, extension, coordination, turnout, and more.

You don’t need to lose or gain weight. You don’t need to be flexible. You just need to be ready to learn something new in a warm and supportive environment!Experienced dancers will find a new challenge in familiar movements thanks to a new orientation to gravity.

No ballet experience is needed. Adults of all genders, all body types, and all stages of life are welcomed and affirmed.

Level 2: Belly Dance — Rosa Noreen — In-Person or Online Class
Wednesdays, 6:00-7:15 PM — Starts September 25, 2024
$191 / 9-week session, Save $20 till 9/14

Dancers who are comfortable with the foundations of belly dance can grow to the next level in this class, adding rhythm knowledge and learning to layer movements. At least 1-2 sessions of Rosa's Intro to Belly Dance class or equivalent experience required. Email Rosa to find out if this class is the right fit for you.

Level 3: Belly Dance — Rosa Noreen — In-Person or Online Class
Wednesdays, 7:30-8:45 PM — Starts September 25, 2024
$191 / 9-week session, Save $20 till 9/14

Dancers who are fluent in the foundations of belly dance and experienced in Arabic rhythms and layering movements can take this class with Rosa's permission. Minimum one year of classes recommended. Email Rosa to request to join this class.

Beginning Ballroom Dance — Elizabeth Converse
Thursdays 6:45 PM (1 hr) — Starts October 3, 2024
$90 / 6-week session, October 3 and 10 are available to walk-in students for $18 each

Ballroom Basics is a six-week session where we focus on two ballroom dances. By the end the goal is for you to feel comfortable dancing a full song in each dance. This is designed for absolute beginners who want to give ballroom dance a try as well as returning dancers who are brushing up on your basics. To reach that goal, along with in-class instruction, you will get handouts of the steps covered and a weekly email with YouTube links to that week’s steps. You will also be learning to lead or follow and starting to work on proper body movement and technique. No partner or previous dance experience is necessary, just a willingness to learn!

Healthy movement and correct basics will set you up to be comfortable at a social dance or be able to move to a competition studio. We cover a total of seven dances in Ballroom Basics, so every six weeks we change to a new pair, expanding your base of knowledge.

This class is specifically for the LGBTQ+ community. Diverse identities, alternative lifestyles, and allies welcome as well. Being a leader is a skill and being a follower is a choice, so you’ll choose which part to dance based on the person you are, not how you look.
